I have been playing the piano in the Atlanta area for over 20 years, entertaining everyone from brides to morticians. I've learned the art of careful music selection; therefore I do not play "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do" at weddings or "Killing Me Softly" at funerals. The sign of a true professional... My selections for this recording are favorite requests over the years. The number of times I've played Pachelbel's "Canon In D" for bridesmaids at weddings equals only the number of times I've played "Moon River" in smokey bars. "Star Dust" is dedicated to my parents, who graduated from high school in 1947 and met in the sixth grade band. "The Swan" is an orchestral composition I first heard in a dream and later wrote and arranged. For similar original, orchestral/piano arrangements, look for my CDs Celebrate Now! and Little Girl, Dance. For solo piano, ask for The White Rose Of Love and Christmas Then & Now. The title Rush Hour is inspired by frequent bumper-to-bumper 5:00 p.m. drives to downtown hotel gigs in Atlanta traffic. My wish is that this soothing piano music will help soften your commute through large cities, small towns and life in general. |
